#3. Thinking Folly ~~~ STOP thinking? ~~~

Thinking has become a disease? From the article written by Eckhart Toli entitled “The Power of Now” it clarified how thinking is actually makes people lives in a state of apparent separateness, in an insanely complex world of continuous problems and conflict, a world that, reflects the increasing fragmentation of the mind. Other than that, from his viewpoint, human beings actually not using their mind in a wrong way, instead, he assumed that we do not use our mind at all, but it uses us. Is this sounds right to you? Sorry to say that it does not sounds good to my ears.

For me thinking for a human being is such an essential thing in our life. As we know, each of us has many different levels of thinking. Some of the things that we do in our lives, such as breathing, walking, yawning, sneezing and blinking become almost instinctive and we really do not have to think much about them. However, some things require more thought, such as deciding what to eat, what to wear for classes or what to cook for dinner. There are also higher levels of thinking and these include our critical thinking abilities, like what I am doing right now which is deciding either the Toli’s sayings about thinking as a disease is acceptable or not. I have critically thought about his articles before I decided to post an entry about my opinions and comments on his writing. Here it shows that I am not being “possessed” by my own mind but I made the decision by my own clear thinking.

Toli admitted that our mind is like a survival machine,   but it is not at all creative.Do you agree with this statement peoples?Surely the answer should be no as it is a fact that our right-brain operates as a creative side for every persons living in this earth. Without thinking deeply and thinking nonstop I don’t think that I can complete this third article of mine by today. In contrast with Toli, he thought that over thinking can make someone less or not creative at all. Whatever it is, still I am standing on my point that the more I think, the more creative I can be in any field of matters.

As a rule, thinking is a good thing and while some people don’t do it enough, some over-think everything like making the simple to complex, the easy to hard, the minor issue to a major drama and the pain-less, to a pain-full. Yes, I do agree that over thinking can bring many bad effects to someone, but remember that not all of us misused the mind given to us by making their self “over” in thinking. The only issue here is the minority of the “over thinker” that still exist in this world should make themselves awake from being jailed in their own mind so they will not affect the people around them.

In short, I can say that this article by Toli is as interesting as it different in some way and really made me felt eager to argue more and more about this “thinker” issue. Remember that we are the one who decides what is right and what is wrong, always believe in your heart and think smart using your mind to get the best results in your life. Everyone living in this earth will surely die at last in any conditions, alike our mind or brain, it will not last forever too, so used it wisely as it still functioning well to get the best from it.
