#9. Movie: The Great Debaters.

Oprah Winfrey and her production have produced a great inspirational movie that based on a true story called “The Great Debaters”. This interesting movie that kept my eyes wide opened when I was watching it actually is about Willey College debate team who participated in the first collegiate interracial debate in the United States. Honestly saying, after I watched this movie, I felt like I just got out from a small box in my mind and my thinking style opened wide. I can feel the courage and braveness in me after watching this heart touching movie.

As a communication student, I felt so lucky to watch this movie as it exposed much on communication skills and how to gain high self-esteem. One thing that most important in this movie is it thought me the meaning of the real teamwork and how to appreciate each members in a group.

This is one of the picture from the
program that I had joined, even kids joined it.
Based on my experience, I used to participate in a 6 months program that focuses on confident level when I was in form 5. In that program, I learned how to talk in high tones of voice and how to not  to be shy in front of the large audience as I was presenting my finale activity on the stage after the interesting 6 months in front of 1000 audiences in Kuala Lumpur. I had practiced my vocal cues before the finale by screaming many simple words as loud as I can while looking straight to the high tree that standing in front of us with my group members with our strict guider's observation. Actually my group members and I presented the treasure of Kuala Lumpur that we found in many ways of speaking that mixed with some arts. This memory came back to me after I watched the scene where the Willy College debate team shouted as loud as they can toward their teacher that located in a small boat at a lake to get the best in their tones of speaking and get the best for the tournaments later.

Moreover, I was so amazed by many educational quotes that have been exposed in this movie by the actors and the actress. They shared many hidden meanings from the quotes used by them .I have to admit that I used my critical thinking skill a lot when I watched this movie as the words and sentences used were more to old literacy style and so deep in meaning.

For my last word on this movie, I think this movie not only exposing on how to get good communication skills, but it also thought us that each of us living in this world will surely experienced stereotype treatment from others, so it is important for us to be brave and try as hard as we can to achieve triumph and victory in life even no matter what colour your skin is. I love this story so much and I hope to watch it again next time if I get the chance.

Racist people are not allowed here in my blog.Thank You :)

#8. Movie: Animal Farm

Today I’m writing a review on one of the movie that I had watched it in the Language Lab (MPCIM) with my fellow friends of DECOM 4D and our lovely lecturer Madam Zalinda which entitled “Animal Farm”. This movie directed by John Stephenson and this movie of him carried such a big meaning that showed us about the life of animals among human beings in a farm. Before I go further, let me tell you all the readers a little bit about this movie’s story line. Basically, Animal Farm exposed a story of a group of different species of animals living together and seeking for revenge to their owners which are humans. They want to get their right as God’s creatures in this world by make the people realised their mistakes and wicked treats towards them the animals. The animals in the farm have to work even they do not willing to do those works and if they refused, like always they will be beaten and forced to do the heavy works. The saddest part is these animals have to work so much hard even without getting a single piece of foods from the farm’s owners. These animals started to realise that actually they just being used by humans and humans just want the benefits from them, once they got it all, they will throw them animals just like that. So, one day, the animals gathered and decided to rule their life by their own, not by the cruel humans anymore. The pig named Napoleon is the leader of these animal missions to have a free life. Napoleon is the smartest among others but at the same time, he is the most selfish pig. Napoleon misused the trust given to him and started to behave like humans and ignores the other animals’ needs.

After I watched this movie, I just got a great moral value which is we should not be selfish or proud of what we have at the moment as it will not last long and we should not threat others with cruelty and humanity is the best thing to be practice in our life. Furthermore, I think we humans should not abuse animals and treat them badly as they never did anything wrong to us. Honestly I can see that animals somehow are more kind and generous compared to men. They work hard to keep on living and never give up in life even how hard these animals have to face it. I am actually one of the animal lovers, I used to pet more than 30 cats since I was in kindergarten. As far as I seen, these animals always appreciate our kindness and never betrays us with any bad habits, except for their nature as an animal, everybody should know about that and we cannot stop those.

He's rescuing his pet cat and pet duck from floodwater,
Awhh, such a heart touching moment. isn't it.. :)
It really makes me upsets to see how some human beings nowadays kill and abuse the animal without mercy towards them. Always bear in mind people, without those animals, we human cannot survive living in this world for so long, just think deeply of why I am saying this, then you will understand. In my opinion, as long as we respect and treat each other well doesn’t matter among humans or among other creatures, no problems will occur and we can always lead a happy and peaceful life together.

I give my highest respect to John Stephenson as he gave us opportunity to know more about how animal feels like living with us humans all these while. Animal Farm should never be missed, so just download this movie and watch it, maybe you can watch it with accompany of your pets maybe, if you have one I mean. Just enjoy this meaningful movie peoples.

#7. Men and Women Are Merely Players?..Of Course..

Seriously, he is a talented writer .

The article “Men and Women are merely players” by Robert Greene actually explained that every people is playing their own fixed or gifted roles without they realised that sometimes they need to change that role for their good. This article does attract my attention as it opened the real story of people living in this world that most of them are fakes and just like an actress and actor playing their roles to achieve triumph in their life.

My perspective about people totally changed after I read this article as now I realised that people that shows the innocent and sincerity to us might not as good as they seen because people dare to be fake to act as good as they can to manipulated other’s thinking about their real self and to gain the benefits of life as much as they can .All the people living in this ordinary world doesn’t matter man or woman always want to achieve the highest power and prosperity in life, so in  order to achieve those things, they have to play a new role in life to fool others.

Even though this thing sounds bad, but this is the real things happening around us all this while .Each of us may be happy or may not happy bringing our own roles, but just bear in mind that every roles that we are having at the moment may change without we ourselves realising it. Any intentions of the people around us either they are our friends or not should be consider wisely before we just accepting them without any curiosity because it will kill you slowly later in future.

Let me show you an example from my experience, which I used to trust in my so called best friend too much and shared all my tiny little secrets with this particular person, I felt so sure to believe in her before because of her innocent looks and her politeness that hard for me to find any person that alike her nowadays. However, when it comes to getting the best in life, she forgot that she actually had a friend called “Julia” and ran away from me to get the best in life which mean she left me hanging and find a new friend, even though she used to hate her new friend so much before in past, but she prefers to pretend like she likes her new friend just to get a greater benefits in life compared from what she can get from me. I took this experienced as a tool for me to be stronger and wiser in choosing friends. As saying always says, experience is the best teacher, right? So, for me, by being selfish and changing our characters and roles without considering other's feeling is something unacceptable to be done.

Obviously we cannot stop this dilemma of human beings that are just merely players, but we may protect our self from being manipulated or used by them by being aware of this fake people .Never ever try to be anyone else because the best comes from oneself. In summary, to achieve triumph in life, changing roles is not the best solution, but the hard works will be the answer. Keep away the “dramas” friends. J

Believe it or just leave it.. :)

#6. The Jews and their Deceits...What about Hitler...?

The Jews...Can we believe in them?

The article “The Jews and their Deceits” is the most special article among all for me as it written by the most powerful dictator himself, Adolf Hitler. I bet even only by his name, it can give a goose bump to every each of us. As all of us already know, Hitler is well known by his cruelty and heartless attitudes. In this article published by him, he really expressed how much he hates the Jews. The question marks that linger in my mind had been answered after I done with the reading of this extraordinary article. Now only I know why Hitler despised Jews without limits.

Hitler called the Jews as “pigs” and “blood sucking vermin” as they cannot be trusted at all. He assumed that the Jews are very good in pretending to get the benefits from German’s rule .Other than that, Hitler hated Jews as he said that these “leaches” just know how to copy his people works and make it as their own that is truly unacceptable by his views.

One thing that Hitler never realised that he kept condemning others and never knew about the black sides of him. He didn’t have the right to kill any people as he wanted to and to forced people to follow his beliefs .He even said that the Jews always hungry for power, but as the truth, he is the one who clearly didn’t stop chasing the powers and showed his evilness to get the highest power of all time.

Hitler that loves to make enemies have made me realised one thing in life which is, we should not be selfish to achieve the highest level in our life, we just need some courage and follows the right lines and rules so that we can achieved the success to the fullest without hatred from others towards us. I can say that Hitler is an example of a bad leader and a bad human as he never has any humanity in his actions. Even though this articles explained more on the negatives of the Jews, but it is not that easy for me to just believed in whatever narrated by this cruel and wicked dictator named Hitler.

From my viewpoint, both sides which are the Jews and Adolf Hitler carried the same mistakes and both of these sides are not showing the best example at all. We should always respect others beliefs and opinions and not to rejecting them directly. Consideration is the best key for every of us to practice in our life to achieved peace instead of chaos. I really hope that I can find an article that shows the opinions of the Jews towards Hitler, so that I can compare that article with this article written by Hitler and get the clearer picture about them. No one loves to be controlled by others as we have our own freedoms, so just be fair in life so you will get the best in everything that you do.

His name will never be forgotten.

#5. The Steve Jobs Nobody Knows...Really ?

Steve <3 Apple ;)
What can you imagine when I mentioned about Apple brand? I bet many of you out there will think about all the cool computer’s products from Apple that most of the youth out there “craving” for. But have you ever think about the inventor of all those fantastic products from Apple, the unpredictable Steve Jobs? Well the article written by Jeff Goodell entitled ‘The Steve Jobs Nobody Knows’ really caught my eyes as it explained in details about the “real” Steve that I never knew before.

In the article we can see how Steve being described as a perfectionist, hot tempered and a control freak person. These attitudes of him really make me feels annoyed towards him, but at the same time, my respects to him will never ever change even a bit. For me, even Steve Jobs has many negative attitudes, but I take those bad behaviours of him as a normal thing as we as a human being cannot stop our self from doing any mistakes living in this world, even me myself cannot run away from mistakes. Just imagine, maybe without his perfectionist attitude, Apple will not grown this much and achieved it triumph, right?

From my viewpoint, Steve Jobs has made easy what people had thought to see difficult, he made lovely what people had been used to see ugly, he made colourful what people had been forced to believe dark and dull, he made light what people had carried heavy by his products. I can say that his inventions cannot ever be competes by any other inventors living in this era, he can be called as a “legend” for me. His inventions like Mac, iPod, iPhone, iPad and iTunes have proved that he is a great visionary and a creative genius of our time.

The only question in my mind about Steve after I read this article is why he denied his paternity? This is something unacceptable and cruel to be done as a man. However, this is still his personal matter that none of us should interfere. For my last words, I want to give my deepest condolences to the Job’s family. The world has lost one of the diamonds among the stones. Your legacy will live on forever Steve. Thanks for everything that have you contributed for us.

Steve Jobs Memorial Statue shows how much people around the world appreciated him. :)

#4. Movie : The Pianist

“The Pianist”, have you ever watched this tragic movie guys? Well, I just watched this movie few days past with my fellow friends in Cerun’s Hall. Actually this movie was so important to be watched by us, the Decomer’s, because it gave us the real understanding about World War II and the conflicts between the German Nazis and the Jews.

First of all, let me tell you a little bit about this movie. The Pianist is about a Jew whose named Wladyslaw Szpilman which is a pianist for sure that tried to survives as he could when the German Nazis conquered their land which is a Poland country. In this movie you can see the courage of him to keeps on living even in the worst time ever in his whole life. Not only Wladyslaw amazed me with his wonderful piano skills, he also surprised me with his bravery and strong hearted character in facing whatever obstacles standing in front of him.

From the viewpoint of mine which is a girl that never faced any kind of war experiences in my life, the things that happened and experienced by the Jews was totally unacceptable and too much cruel to be describes. Nazis killed and abused without limits or mercy. I wonder the feelings of each person that living in this type of war, I bet it is miserable enough to be said. I can say that the Hitler’s rule on the Jews was over the limits of leadership and it was not a good example of leadership values to be followed by every of us. Yes, we can say that Nazis had  the full power at that time, but by misused the power in a wicked way, it meant nothing more than a disaster for the Jews and not to be forgotten for the world.

It was good to know at the ending of the story that the Jews stood on their feet again and fought for a better life rather than having the tragic rules by the German Nazis for the rest of their life.

This movie really made me appreciated the life that I’m living in right now. Even there are many unwanted events happening all these while in my life that hurts me badly, but I feel so grateful to live in a country that is so peaceful and tranquil. Thanks god for everything.

Peace! Peace! Peace! Even this kid wants it.Think people :)
So for the last word, I can say that I’m so happy to get the chance to watch this interesting and mind blowing movie. Try to watch “The Pianist” because you will never regret it, just believe in my words.”Peace No War People”

#3. Thinking Folly ~~~ STOP thinking? ~~~

Thinking has become a disease? From the article written by Eckhart Toli entitled “The Power of Now” it clarified how thinking is actually makes people lives in a state of apparent separateness, in an insanely complex world of continuous problems and conflict, a world that, reflects the increasing fragmentation of the mind. Other than that, from his viewpoint, human beings actually not using their mind in a wrong way, instead, he assumed that we do not use our mind at all, but it uses us. Is this sounds right to you? Sorry to say that it does not sounds good to my ears.

For me thinking for a human being is such an essential thing in our life. As we know, each of us has many different levels of thinking. Some of the things that we do in our lives, such as breathing, walking, yawning, sneezing and blinking become almost instinctive and we really do not have to think much about them. However, some things require more thought, such as deciding what to eat, what to wear for classes or what to cook for dinner. There are also higher levels of thinking and these include our critical thinking abilities, like what I am doing right now which is deciding either the Toli’s sayings about thinking as a disease is acceptable or not. I have critically thought about his articles before I decided to post an entry about my opinions and comments on his writing. Here it shows that I am not being “possessed” by my own mind but I made the decision by my own clear thinking.

Toli admitted that our mind is like a survival machine,   but it is not at all creative.Do you agree with this statement peoples?Surely the answer should be no as it is a fact that our right-brain operates as a creative side for every persons living in this earth. Without thinking deeply and thinking nonstop I don’t think that I can complete this third article of mine by today. In contrast with Toli, he thought that over thinking can make someone less or not creative at all. Whatever it is, still I am standing on my point that the more I think, the more creative I can be in any field of matters.

As a rule, thinking is a good thing and while some people don’t do it enough, some over-think everything like making the simple to complex, the easy to hard, the minor issue to a major drama and the pain-less, to a pain-full. Yes, I do agree that over thinking can bring many bad effects to someone, but remember that not all of us misused the mind given to us by making their self “over” in thinking. The only issue here is the minority of the “over thinker” that still exist in this world should make themselves awake from being jailed in their own mind so they will not affect the people around them.

In short, I can say that this article by Toli is as interesting as it different in some way and really made me felt eager to argue more and more about this “thinker” issue. Remember that we are the one who decides what is right and what is wrong, always believe in your heart and think smart using your mind to get the best results in your life. Everyone living in this earth will surely die at last in any conditions, alike our mind or brain, it will not last forever too, so used it wisely as it still functioning well to get the best from it.
